This time is provided by the Board to allow citizens the opportunity to address the Board on issues of importance to the citizen.  No individual citizen shall be permitted to address the Board for more than three (3) minutes.

FY 2016 Annual Financial Report - Paul Lee, CPA

Mr. Paul Lee, CPA, Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates requested to appear before the Board to present the FY 2016 Annual Financial Report.

Appomattox Raiders Football Team State Champions Resolution

The Appomattox County High School "Raiders" Football Team claimed the Virginia High School League 2A State Championship Title for the second consecutive year on December 10, 2016.  The Board of Supervisors has invited the players and coaches to be recognized for their outstanding representation of Appomattox County.

Staff Recommendation:  Adopt the attached resolution recognizing the Appomattox County High School Football Team's State Championship Title. The Team and Coaches are present to accept the resolution and to be recognized for their outstanding accomplishments.

Appomattox County Administration 2017 Holiday Schedule

Attached for your review is a copy of the Appomattox County Administration Holiday Calendar for 2017.  The designated holidays align with 2017 Commonwealth of Virginia Holiday Calendar.

Staff Recommendation:  Adopt the proposed Appomattox County Administration Holiday Schedule for 2017 as presented.

Library Board of Trustees

Please consider the appointment of a representative from the Wreck Island District to fill the vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees.  The Term for this appointment is a 4-year term that will end on December 31, 2020.

Staff Recommendation:  Appoint a Wreck Island District representative to fill the Library Board of Trustees vacancy (4-year term ending December 31, 2020).

Planning Commission (Piney Mountain District)

Please consider the appointment of a Piney Mountain District representative for a 4-year term ending December 31, 2020.  Ms. Sara Carter currently represents the Piney Mountain District and does not wish to be reappointed.  Ms. Carter requests the Board's consideration to appoint Ms. Annie Trent to serve as the Piney Mountain District representative for a 4-year term.

Staff Recommendation: Consider Ms. Carter's request to appoint Ms. Annie Trent to represent the Piney Mountain District for a 4-year term ending December 31, 2020.

Economic Development Authority

Please consider the reappointment of James "Buddy" Connor for another 4-year term ending December 31, 2020.  Mr. Connor is willing to serve another term if reappointed.

Staff Recommendation:  Reappointment James "Buddy" Connor for another 4-year term ending December 31, 2020.

The Consent Agenda includes approval of all Bills, Minutes, Supplemental Appropriations, Line Item Transfers, and Fund Transfers.  Any item on the Consent Agenda shall be removed from the Consent Agenda at the request of any Board member prior to the vote on the Consent Agenda.  Items removed from the Consent Agenda shall be considered by the Board individually in order in which they were removed from the Consent Agenda immediately following consideration of the Consent Agenda.
