The Planning Commission is a body formed with representation from the County and from the Town of Pamplin.  The Planning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and to the Pamplin Town Council on issues relating to the planning and development of the County and Town of Pamplin.  The Commission also has the responsibility for developing and maintaining the Joint Comprehensive Plan as well as the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances for the County and Pamplin.

Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. in the Board of Supervisors' Meeting Room located in the Carver-Price Educational Complex near CVCC-Appomattox.  Click here for Meeting Schedule.  Members serve four (4) year terms.  Membership consists of a representative from each of the County's five (5) election districts, one (1) at-large County representative, and one (1) representative from the Town of Pamplin.
